In Form eines poetisch-lyrischen Dialoges erzählt Lost in Hope die Geschichte der Israelin Rachel und des Palästinensers Jassir. Jassir möchte in Freiheit leben, jenseits der Hoffnungslosigkeit und der Gewalt in seinem Land. Rachels Wunsch ist es, Musik zu studieren. Doch vorher muss sie noch ihren Militärdienst absolvieren.
Beide stehen an einem Punkt, an dem sie aus ihrem jeweiligen Leben ausbrechen möchten. Dabei bedingt das Schicksal des Einen, das des Anderen.
Lost in Hope is a poetic - lyrical film which tells the story of a man and a woman whose fate is determined by the conflict existing in their country. Both are at a point where they want to break out of their respective lives, with all the history that weighs on them. One’s fate influences the fate of the other.
